Janet Miller –   Founder and Executive Director  

MN Teaching License / Licensed Parent Educator

LADC’s Founder and Executive director, Janet has been a licensed early-childhood teacher for over 25 years. She is a graduate of the University of MN and worked on the pilot team of Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) in Minnesota while at MN State University/Mankato. She is active in the State Legislature, advocating for early-childhood education.

Meet the LADC Admin TeamLisa Swenson- Program Administrator 

Lisa worked in Children’s Ministry before joining the LADC Team in 2000. She was a teacher and site-director before moving onto the Administration Team in 2007.  Lisa has a B.A. in Studio Art, with minors in English Lit and Religion from Concordia College/Moorhead MN.

Meet the LADC Admin TeamLynne Maurice- Office Administrator

Lynne joined the LADC Main Office Team in February of 2016. She has her B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and was a Licensed Teacher for birth through third grade.

Paula graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a B.S. in Broad Area Accounting. She joined the LADC Business Team in 2010, after several years as a program parent and assistant teacher!

Meet the LADC Admin TeamMegan Thompson- Admissions Director

Megan started teaching with LADC in the Fall of 2016, coming on board as the Admissions Director in 2017. Megan has her B.A. Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky, and has her KY Teaching License for K-5th Grade.

Meet the LADC Admin TeamEmily Sullivan- Program Director / Curriculum Coach

MN Teaching License
Emily has been teaching with LADC since 2003, working as a lead teacher and Site-Director. She is a graduate of St. Benedict’s with a B.A. degree in Kindergarten/Elementary Education, with a M.A. in Special Education.
Currently, Emily is a Program Director with LADC, providing Curriculum and Classroom coaching throughout the thirteen locations. Emily is also a Lead Kinderstart teacher at St. Jude’s Discovery Center in Mahtomedi.

Meet the LADC Admin TeamTammy Junker- Program Director / Curriculum Coach

MN Teaching License

Tammy is a graduate from Northwestern University/St. Paul with a B.A. in Bible Studies and Early Childhood Education/Pre-Primary Emphasis. She has been teaching and site-directing with LADC since 2007. As a Program Director, Tammy provides teachers classroom and curriculum support among the thirteen Discovery Center partnerships. She is also a Lead Kinderstart Teacher at Community of Grace’s Discovery Center in White Bear Lake.

Meet the LADC Admin TeamDr. Jenna Edlund, PHD- Behavior Specialist

Dr. Edlund is a postdoctoral fellow working towards her licensure as a psychologist under the supervision of Dr. Elizabeth Wagner at ELEOS Psychology Clinic. She has had extensive training in behavior analysis and cognitive behavioral therapy and experience providing parent trainings and consultation on a variety of issues that can occur during the early childhood years. B.S. Psychology/Spanish, College of St. Benedict; M.A. Clinical Psychology, MN State University/Mankato; PHD School of Psychology, University of Utah.

Jenna provides LADC teacher support via in-services and classroom observation. She is also available for parent meetings and child-advocacy during the process of individual education plans.

Meet the LADC Admin TeamShannon Goldstein- Director of Accreditation

MN Teaching License

Shannon earned her B.A.S. from the University of MN/Duluth in Speech and Language Development. She has her M.A. and Licensure in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University/St. Paul. Shannon has been teaching and site-directing with LADC since 2003. She is currently also the Lead Discovery Class Teacher at Our Savior’s Discovery Center in Stillwater.

Shannon oversees the NAEYC Accredited application, submission and annual reports for all LADC Locations. LADC has achieved over 95% on all classroom and portfolio NAEYC ratings in the past five years.
