Amanda graduated from Northwestern College with a BA in Early Childhood Education. She joined the Discovery Center in 2012 and has taught for Lake Area Discovery Center in both White Bear Lake and Forest Lake.

Amanda loves spending time with her husband and young son, as well as enjoying scrapbooking and reading in her spare time.

Erin has her BS Degree in Elementary Education with emphasis in Math and Bible Studies from Northwestern University in St. Paul. 

Erin has been teaching with the Discovery Center since 2016.

Krystle Hubred, Lead Explorer Teacher, Young Toddlers

Krystle joined the Discovery Center teaching team in Stillwater in 2017, moving up to the toddler program at Faith Lutheran in 2018. Krystle is currently studying for her BS in Psychology through Colorado Technical University. 

Krystle enjoys decorating her house, training her dogs and doing activities with family and friends.

Julie Whiting, Assistant Teacher / Extended Care Teacher

 

Julie joined the Discovery Team in 2017. She has her BA Degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota.

Julie enjoys traveling, gardening and walking.

Sara Locke, Assistant Teacher

 

Sara began teaching with the Discovery Center Fall of 2018. She is a Behavioral/Autism specialist, with training in both in-home and school-based specialties. 

Sara enjoys watching her two sons play sports, traveling, camping and hiking.

Kashia McNeilly, Assistant Teacher

 

Kashia has been working with children since 2012, joining the Discovery Center in 2015. Her passion is to serve the Lord with the gift of working with children.

Kashia is currently in school, studying early-childhood education.

Stevi graduated from Rasmussen College with an AAS Criminal Justice and Early Childhood Certificate (CDA). She joined the Discovery Center teaching team in 2018. 

Stevi loves to travel, camp, hike and explore new places with her family. She is happy anywhere she has her camera with her!

Lissa joined the Discovery Center team as the Lead Infant Teacher when the room opened in 2017. She has her Child Development Associates Certification, and has a Council for Professional Recognition from Washington DC

Lissa enjoys golfing, boating, going for walks and spending time with her family.

Britta Dumke, Lead Explorer Teacher, Older Toddlers

Britta began teaching with the Discovery Center in the Fall of 2017. She has a double-degree, BA in Children, Youth and Family Studies and Biblical Studies from Trinity Lutheran College.

Britta enjoys painting, being on the lake, seeing the world through a child’s eyes and having dance parties with her daughter.

Stephanie Everett, Assistant Teacher

 

Stephanie has a BS  in Business Administration from the National College business and Arts/Philippines, as well as a Certificate of Achievement-Promoting Quality of Early Years.

Stephanie loves to travel, hike and camp with her family. she enjoys cooking, reading and learning new things. She enjoys playing monopoly and word puzzles with her son Allen.

Brenda Lindquist, Assistant Teacher

 

Brenda joined the Discovery Center in the Fall of 2017. She studied for two years at Illinois State University.

Brenda enjoys hanging out with her family, camping, crafting and reading mysteries.

Angela Nuckols, Assistant Teacher

 

Angie joined the Discovery Center teaching team in 2018. She graduated from Bethlehem College and Seminary with a BA in History of Ideas. 

Angie enjoys playing violin and piano, hiking, volleyball and reading classic literature.

Lindsy Speight, Assistant Teacher

 

Lindsay joined the Discovery Center at Faith Lutheran in December of 2017. She has her Associates of Arts and is currently working towards her Bachelors of Imaging Sciences.

Lindsy enjoys spending time with family, shopping and reading.
