Lake Area Discovery Center is a faith-based, Nationally Accredited (NAEYC) and 4 Star Parent Aware Rated Early Childhood Program for children 3 – 5 years of age, serving children at 12 metro locations.
A unique blend of education models, LADC uses the Creative Curriculum to create a stimulating environment with Daily Learning Centers that incorporate skill building, creative arts, science, math, dramatic play, sensory, literature, writing, individualized cooking and music. The Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) philosophy is also embraced, as LADC believes the parent is the first and most important teacher in a child’s life, as well as in the theme-based centers with directional signs that facilitate parent/child interaction. Many of the cognitive games are homemade, giving parents ideas of activities that can be done at home.
Community of Grace’s Discovery Center opened in 2003 and became the second site to partner with Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC). The site has continued to grow over time and is currently the largest site in the program. Formerly named First Lutheran Church, it is easily accessible from highway 61 in White Bear Lake, near the intersection of County Road F

Redeemer Lutheran was the first Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC) partnership back in 1999 and still houses the LADC main office. This incredible partnership laid the groundwork for the rest of the partnership locations that would follow in their footsteps. Redeemer Lutheran is conveniently located off of County Rd E on Bellaire Avenue in White Bear Lake.

St. Jude’s Discovery Center began it’s partnership in 2011. This school partnership provides a unique opportunity to “buddy” with students in the elementary school and benefit from their wonderful facilities. One other unique aspect of this site is the partnership with Coventry Senior Living Center, through which the children have a chance to develop ongoing relationships with Senior Citizens.
