Kristen graduated from Northwestern College with a degree in Elementary Education / Early Childhood emphasis. 

Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, cheering at sporting events and making memories.

Geena Will, Discovery Lead Teacher

Geena graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. She spent a year tutoring Kindergartners at Bruce F. Vento Elementary after graduation.  Geena is currently in school working toward her Education degree. 

Geena joined the Discovery Center teaching team in the Fall of 2015, working as an assistant teacher before becoming a Lead Toddler teacher for two years.

Deb Behringer, Assistant Teacher

 

Deb has been teaching with the Discovery Center at Faithful Shepherd since Fall of 2018. She graduated from Concordia University, St. Paul with a BA in Child Development.

Deb’s main interest is spending as much time as possible with her family, as well as enjoying baking, swimming, reading, sewing, soccer and theater.

Kaitlin Bornhoft, Site-Manager / Lead Kinderstart Teacher

Kaitlin joined the Discovery Center team in 2016, teaching and directing at St. Helena’s Discovery Center in Minneapolis. She has her degree in Education from Northwestern University in St. Paul.

Kaitlin taught Kindergarten for several years before joining the Discovery Center. She enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends.

Elizabeth Graser-Thurlow, Lead Kinderstart Teacher

Elizabeth graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in French and BS in Elementary Education.  She joined the Discovery Teaching team in 2017 as an assistant teacher.

Elizabeth is an avid sports fan, attending college/professional games in addition to her kids sports games. She also enjoys cooking/baking and trying new recipes, biking and going for walks.

Sandy Enger, Assistant Teacher

 

Sandra has worked with children for over 28 years and has completed 40+hours of Early Childhood Education Training and Nutritional Classes annually. She joined the Discovery Center teaching team in 2018. 

Sandy’s hobbies include long walks with friends, art projects with grandchildren, reading and family time.”

Christine Hernandez, Assistant Teacher

 

Christine joined the Discovery Center teaching team in 2018. She studied Law Enforcement at Inver Grove Community College and has worked as a Registered Nurse Assistant and ILS Worker.

Christine enjoys reading, creative writing, poetry and song lyrics.

Bao Xiong, Assistant Teacher

 

Bao joined the Discovery Center team August of 2018. She has a BA in Anthropology from the University of California Merced. 

Bao enjoys painting, drawing, reading, crafting and playing badminton.
