Nicole has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood and in Youth Development from Dakota County Technical College. She has been co-Lead Teaching the Discovery Classroom at Faithful Shepherd since 2018.

Ruba Saqer, Lead Kinderstart Teacher

Ruba attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.  She majored in Elementary Education and has a minor in English. Prior to joining the Faithful Shepherd team in 2024, she worked as a daycare teacher and worked for AMERICORP’s literacy intervention program.  Her favorite part of teaching is watching her students’ selfconfidence grow!

Heidi Delesha, Co-Director & Kinderstart Teacher

Heidi has been a part of the Faithful Shepherd Discovery Center team since 2021. She has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from South Central College in Mankato, MN. Her experiences include teaching older toddlers for 10 years, then after taking time off to raise her family, she joined the team at Faithful Shepherd.  Heidi’s favorite part of teaching is watching each child grow into the best version of themselves throughout the year. “I love on the hardest days, they know just how to make you smile!”

Lindsey Honkanen, Lead Discovery Teacher

Lindsay graduated from St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN with her B.A. in Educational Studies/Youth Development and Leadership. She has a early childhood and special education care experiences. Lindsay joined the FSCS Discovery Center teaching team in 2020.

 

 

August Barkmeier, EAP Manager/After School Lead Teacher

August attended the University of Minnesota, Morris to study English. He loves connecting with children and has been doing so since he started with LADC in 2022.
