Shannon earned her BA in Elementary Education with Preprimary Emphasis from the University of MN-Morris. She taught 8 years teaching Kindergarten before joining the Discovery Center in 2013.  

Shannon enjoys singing, musical theatre, scrapbooking and loves traveling to visit family and friends.

Wendy has been working with the Discovery Center since 2014. She recently graduated from Metropolitan University with a teaching degree in Early Childhood Education. She is continuing in the Masters of Education program at MU.

Wendy is also the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Specialist for the East Metro Region. Children love Wendy’s fun and warm teaching style.

Stephanie Fralich, Lead Discovery Teacher

Stephanie graduated from Bemidji State with a degree in Elementary Education and LOVES working with children! Stephanie joined the Discovery Center in 2014 as a Lead Toddler and Afternoon Lead PreK Teacher, moving in to the Discovery Classroom full-time in 2018.

In Stephanie’s spare time she likes to read and binge watch Netflix. She has two dogs and one amazing husband!

Riley Monsour, Assistant Teacher


Riley joined the Discovery Team in 2017 and is currently enrolled at Century College studying Elementary Education. 

Riley enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves hiking, being outside and traveling to new places.

Marissa Clauson, Assistant Teacher


Marissa joined the St. Jude’s Discovery team in 2017.  She has her AAS degree in Nursing from Itawamba Community College. She has been a licensed RN and is BLS certified.

Marissa’s interests include volleyball, reading, hanging out with family and going to the cabin.

Sor is studying at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls towards a Bachelors of Art. He joined the Discovery Center Teaching Team at St. Jude of the Lake in 2018. 

Sor is interested in art, music, fitness, education, entrepreneurship and travel.

Emily Sullivan, Program Director / Lead Kinderstart Teacher

Emily has lots of excitement for life and for kids! She is a graduate of St. Benedict’s with a degree in Kindergarten/Elementary Education.  Emily has been teaching and directing with the Discovery Center since 2003.

Emily enjoys shopping, biking, gardening and crafting. She and her husband love to spend time with their young son, visiting the cabin and anything out in the sun!

Kristen Egan, Lead Kinderstart Teacher

Kristen has a BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado. and her Masters in Education and Special Ed from NYU. 

Kristen enjoys Pilates, tennis, cooking, traveling, hiking with her dog, listening to live music and spending time with her family and friends.

Brianna Hinderks, Lead Explorers Teacher / Older Toddlers


Brianna joined the Discovery Center team in 2015. She has her Art Education and English degrees from UW-River Falls and is working toward her Childcare Development Associations Degree (CDA). 

Brianna is a busy mother of two young children. Her calm and gentle manner are a perfect fit for our toddler students!

Kelly Miskowiak, Assistant Teacher


Kelly joined the Discovery Team in 2015. She graduated from the UW-River Falls with a BS in Communicative Disorders.

Kelly and her husband live in Stillwater and enjoy exploring the area. She loves traveling, decorating her home and playing with their two puppies.

Trish Dahl, Assistant Teacher


Trish received her BA in French from the University of Michigan, later completing a certificate in Secondary Education.

Both of Trish’s sons attended the Discovery Center when they were young and are now in Middle and High School! In her free time, Trish enjoys cooking, entertaining, traveling and watching soccer.

Deb Adam, Assistant Teacher


Deb joined St. Jude’s Discovery team in 2018. She attended secondary studies at Century College and MIM.

Deb enjoys fishing, traveling, hiking, gardening, cooking and puzzles.

Kou Vue, Assistant Teacher

Kou has a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Metropolitan State University. He joined the Discovery Center teaching team in 2017. 

Kou enjoys camping, fishing and cooking.

Tong Lee, Assistant Teacher


Tong joined the Discovery Center team in 2016. He studied at MSU-Mankato and has an AS degree in Video Production and Animation/Motion Graphic Art from Hennepin Technical College.
