Janet Miller, Founder & Executive Director

Janet has been a licensed early-childhood teacher for over 35 years. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and worked on the pilot team for Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) in Minnesota. She is active in the State Legislature, advocating for early-childhood education at the state level. 

Janet and her husband have four grown daughters and enjoy spending time with family and grandchildren at their Wisconsin cabin.

Lynne Maurice, Office Administrator & Director of Program Licensing

Lynne has her BS degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and was a Licensed Teacher for Birth through 3rd Grade. Lynne and her husband enjoys traveling to spend time with her grandchildren. Her hobbies include gardening, decorating and quilting.

Matt Lindholm, Admissions Director

Matt joined the LADC Office Admin Team in the Fall of 2021. As well as being a parent in the program, Matt brings a wealth of organizational and leadership skills to our team!

 

Emily Sullivan, Program Director & Lead Kinderstart Teacher (St. Jude)

Emily has lots of excitement for life and for kids! She loves the color pink, the letter “E”, talking, shopping and yoga. A graduate of St. Benedict’s with a degree in Kindergarten/Elementary Education, Emily also has a Masters Degree in Special Education. She has been teaching with LADC since 2003.
Emily loves spending time with her family and young sons, visiting the cabin and anything in the sun!

Paula Barber, Business Administrator

Paula graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a BS in Broad Area Accounting. She joined the LADC team in 2010. Paula loves spending time with her family, reading and traveling.

Dr. Jenna Edlund, LADC Behavior Specialist

PHD, Psychology

Dr. Edlund is a licensed psychologist practicing with Dr. Elizabeth Wagner at ELEOS Psychology clinic. She has her BS in Psychology and Spanish from the College of St. Benedict, an MA in Clinical Psychology from MN State University-Mankato and her PHD from the University of Utah.

Jenna has had extensive training in behavior analysis and cognitive behavioral therapy and experience providing parent trainings and consultation on a variety of issues that occur during the early childhood years.

 

Lily Strain, Regional Director

In addition to teaching Kinderstart at Faith’s Discovery Center, Lily provides support several regional Location Site Directors and Partners through monthly meetings, marketing and quality support and communication.

Lily has her BS in Education from Augsburg University, with her MS in K-12 Education Administration. A MS in Business Administration is in progress from Minnesota State University-Moorhead. In addition to teaching at Faith’s Discovery Center, Lily is Regional Director for four additional locations in the Forest Lake, Wyoming and Stillwater. Lily and her husband live in the Stillwater area, where they enjoy activities with their three sons.

Shannon Goldstein- Director of Accreditation & Lead Kinderstart Teacher (COG)

MN Teaching License

Shannon earned her B.A.S. from the University of MN/Duluth in Speech and Language Development. She has her M.A. and Licensure in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University/St. Paul.  Shannon oversees the NAEYC Accredited application, submission and annual reports for all LADC Locations. LADC has achieved over 95% on all classroom and portfolio NAEYC ratings in the past five years.

Lisa Swenson, Program Administrator & Director of Employee Trainings

Lisa has worked in Children’s Ministry and Early Childhood Education since 2000 in teacher, director and administrative roles. She has a BA in Studio Art/secondary in English Literature/Religion from Concordia College, Moorhead MN. Lisa and her family enjoy traveling home to Montana each summer and love outdoor activities, music and theater.

Andrew Sullivan, Facilities/Business

Andrew oversees partnership facilities projects that maintain and improve playgrounds and classrooms. He also works in the business office, overseeing account management.

 

Tammy Junker, Program Director & Lead Kinderstart Teacher (Community of Grace)

Tammy’s energy and passion for teaching and ministry is contagious! She is a graduate from Northwestern with a degree in Bible Studies and Early childhood Education with a Pre-Primary emphasis. She has been teaching with LADC since 2007.  Tammy enjoys shopping, coffee, playing piano, running and spending time with her husband, three young children and friends.

Jennifer Cassidy, Regional Director and Marketing Support

Jennifer provides support several regional Location Site Directors and Partners through monthly meetings, marketing and quality support and communication, as well as monthly Marketing meetings with LADC’s Marketing Consultant.

Jennifer has years of experience as a school principal and an advocate for private school education options.  Her unique background in education, faith formation and leadership make her skills a wonderful fit for strengthening our partnerships!

Kristen Shadis, Regional Director

In addition to teaching Kinderstart at St. John’s Discovery Center, Kristen provides support several regional Location Site Directors and Partners through monthly meetings, marketing and quality support and communication.

Kristen graduated from Northwestern College with a degree in Elementary Education / Early Childhood emphasis and MN Teaching License.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, cheering at sporting events and making memories.

 

Beth Griffin, LADC Health Consultant

Licensed Physician Assistant

Beth has provided Health Consultant services for LADC since 2014. She has her BS in Biology and Spanish from the College of St. Benedict’s, and received her Physicians Assistance License in 2012. Beth and her husband have two young children, and love to travel, spending time with family and friends.
