Jen Fehrmann, Site-Director / Lead Kinderstart Teacher  

email Jen Jen graduated with a BA in Elementary Education from Maryville State University and has her MN Teaching License. She joined the Discovery team in 2015 and taught as the Lead Explorer Teacher for young toddlers. Jen moved into the Site Director role in 2017. Jen loves spending time with her husband, young daughter and son. She was born on February 29th, making her a “leap year” baby! “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.”

Anna Roland, Discovery Lead Teacher

Email Anna Anna graduated from the University of Northwestern-St. Paul with a degree in Elementary  and Pre-Primary Education, with her MN Teaching License. She substitute taught for a hear and a half before joining the Discovery Center in 2015.  Anna loves teaching preschool and has a passion for helping children learn. She enjoys hiking, reading, cooking and spending time with her family and husband. “Find something you are passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it.”  – Julia Child

Jocelyn Bauman, Lead Explorer Teacher, Young Toddlers

Email Jocelyn Jocelyn graduated from the University of MN-Duluth with a degree in Integrated Elementary and Special Education and her MN Teaching License. She joined the Discovery Center in 2016. Jocelyn’s favorite hobbies include reading, spending time with family/friends and her dog. “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”  – William Butler Yeats

Sunnie Stauff, Lead Infant Teacher

Email Sunnie  Sunnie has her CDA (Child Development Associates) Degree from Saint Paul College, and her Health Unit Coordinator Certificate. She joined the Discovery Teaching Team in 2014, and has worked both as Lead Toddler and Lead Infant Teacher.  Sunnie enjoys cleaning, organizing and being home with her husband and two young children. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord; plans to prosper you and not harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.”  – Jeremiah 29:11-12

Toni Gregg, Assistant Teacher

Toni started teaching for the Discovery Center in 2013. She has studied Child Development and is currently enrolled in the Childcare Development Associates program.  Toni enjoys hanging out with her two little girls, taking them to movies, swimming, bike rides, family nights and spending quality time with cousins and family. “Sometimes you have to accept the fact that certain things will never go back to how they used to be.”

Cara Skluzacek, Assistant Teacher

Cara graduated from UW-Stout with a BS in Human Development and Family Studies, and a concentration in Early Childhood. She began teaching with the Discovery Center in 2015. In her free time, Cara enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. Her hobbies include skiing, hiking and all kinds of outdoor activities.

Joelle Stauff, Teacher Aide

  Joelle joined the Discovery Center team in 2018, working with our infant and toddler students. She enjoys relaxing, cleaning and painting. “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”  – Isaiah 40:29

Tammy Junker, Program Administrator / Lead Kinderstart Teacher

email Tammy Tammy is a graduate of Northwestern University with degrees in Bible Studies and Early Childhood Education/Pre-Primary emphasis. She has her MN Teaching License.  Tammy has been teaching with LADC since 2007. Tammy’s energy and passion for teaching and ministry is contagious! She enjoys shopping, coffee, playing piano, running and spending time with her husband, three young children and friends. “The Lord will fight for you- you need only to be still.”  – Exodus 14:14

Amanda Capes, Lead Explorer Teacher, Older Toddlers

Email Amanda Amanda graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Youth, Family and Community of Life from Crossroads College in Rochester, MN. She has been teaching with the Discovery Center since 2015. Amanda loves to spend time with her husband and two young daughters. She also enjoys reading, knitting and travelling. “He has shown you, Oh mortal, what is good. Autumn Grow, Lead Kinderstart Teacher

  Autumn is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a BA in Family Studies. She joined the Discovery Center teaching team at Community of Grace Fall of 2018.  Autumn enjoys reading, cooking, hiking and DYI projects. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”  – 1 John 4:7-8    




Amanda Christiansen, Infant Teacher

  Amanda joined the Discovery Teaching Team in 2016, after being a parent in the program for several years! She currently has a CNA/PCA, and is studying in the Education program at River Falls University/Century College, with the goal of lead teaching her own classroom in the future! Amanda enjoys spending time with her two small children, family and friends.

Brooke Guanzini, Assistant Teacher

  Brooke began teaching with the Discovery Center in 2018. She has a BS in Mass Communications from St. Cloud State University. Brooke loves spending time with her husband and young son; going on walks, and enjoying the 4 seasons. She also enjoys reading, quilting, trying new recipes, shopping at thrift stores and watching The Great British Bake Off! “For nothing is impossible with God.”  -Luke 1:37

Courtney Radke, Assistant Teacher

  Courtney is currently studying at Century College in White Bear Lake. She joined the Discovery Team in 2016. Courtney loves to play hockey and lacrosse, and enjoys cooking and cleaning in her free time.

Kathy Schroepfer, Assistant Teacher

Kathy has been working in childcare for over twenty years, caring for children ages birth to elementary. She began teaching for the Discovery Center in 2014 and has taught at the Stillwater, Forest Lake and White Bear Lake locations. Kathy’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her family and grandson. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, but in all ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.”  – Proverbs 3:5
